Colorant Limited Receives CHEMEXIL Award

Colorant Limited, a leading Reactive dyes manufacturer and exporter based in Ahmedabad, received the Award for the outstanding performance in Export Market by an SME for the year 2010-2011 organised by CHEMEXCIL in Mumbai. Mr. Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India presented the Award to Mr. Subhas  Bhargava, MD of Colorant Limited.

Colorant is the first Indian Company to offer it’s clients in India and overseas a range of Fluorine based Reactive dyes under the brand name of COLRON “CN” series. Colorant has partnered with the Color Root of China – the biggest manufacturer of Fluorine based Reactive dyes in the world – and has exclusive marketing rights for these dyes in India. Fluorine based COLRON “CN” series reactive dyes lead to considerable energy savings and emission reduction. Colorant is, therefore, credited with offering the most modern and environmentally green chemistry to it’s customers for the first time in India thereby revolutionizing the dyeing industry.

According to a Company release, Colron High Performance Reactive dyes – SD series, GLX series, CN series and SF series – are already being used by more than 650 customers (including Corporate Houses) in India and well accepted in Export market for their quality, cost-effectiveness and timely supply. Colron Reactive Dyes are very well estabilished in Bangladesh, China, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt, Costa Rica, Brazil, Nigeria, Gautemala and many other countries.

Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council is popularly known as CHEMEXCIL was set up in 1963 by the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry  with the objective of  promoting exports of Dyes and Dye Intermediates, Basic Inorganic & Organic Chemicals, including Agrochemicals & Pesticides, Cosmetics & toiletries, Essential Oils, Castor Oil, etc. from India to  various countries abroad. CHEMEXCIL acts as an interface with the Industry and the Government of India to formulate Export-oriented Policies and also to create  a favorable environment  to augment exports  of the  above items from India to all the countries abroad. The present total Membership strength, comprising of Large Scale & Small Scale Manufacturers and Merchant Exporters is more than 4000.
