10 experts from the cluster are taking part at the masterclass, 3 staff members and 7 representatives from SMEs.

With the participation in this initiative, the cluster aims to increase its knowledge on market and technological trends about smart textiles and to upgrade our skills to uptake latest innovations that can be used to foster developments and to facilitate reaching the market.

AEI Tèxtils’ experience on smart textiles started three years ago, with the leadership of CONTEXT, a European network of experts in the field of advanced textile materials set in the framework of Cost Programme.

AEI Tèxtils is a non-profit association, which has the aim of joining all Catalan companies and organizations related directly or indirectly to the advanced textile materials sector and which form a specialized productive area with competitive advantages.

The group formed by companies and organizations which support their innovative potential, set up the advanced textile materials cluster of the region, to which the Textile Innovative Business Grouping gives legal status.

It is not an association with new objectives, but an adaptation to the current legislation and to the philosophy and praxis of the new structures which have come up in the European environment.
