Signing ceremony with Chinese company M/s. Bangladesh Boyang Textile Co. Ltd.

Home textile manufacturing industry in Uttara EPZ

Chinese company M/s. Bangladesh Boyang Textile Co. Ltd. is going to set up a textile and home textile manufacturing industry in Uttara EPZ with an investment of US$ 23.15 million. Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) signed an agreement with the company to this effect at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka today (24-09-2023). The Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, ndc, psc witnessed the signing ceremony.

Mr. Ali Reza Mazid, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Mr. Peng Liu, Chairman of Bangladesh Boyang Textile Co. Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

This fully foreign owned company will create employment opportunities for 1993 Bangladeshi nationals. Bangladesh Boyang Textile Co. will produce annually 50 million meters of Linen/Cotton Woven & Denim Fabrics and 3 million pieces of home textile like Pillow cases, Bed Sheets, Table Cloths.

Among others, Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) Nafisa Banu, Executive Director (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir and Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain were present during the signing ceremony.

Mentionable, Uttara EPZ is a shining example of changing lifestyle of Northern region. Once povertystricken area has been transformed to an industrially developed area after establishing Uttara EPZ in 2001. At present around 35,000 Bangladeshi nationals are working in the 25 operational industries of this EPZ. The zone has so far attracted investment of US$ 235 million and exported goods worth of US$ 2342 million.

Garments accessories manufacturing industry 

Adamjee EPZ

Signing ceremony with M/s. Cherry Button Ltd for investment of US$ 23.15 million in Uttara EPZ

Chinese company M/s. Cherry Button Limited is going to establish a garments accessories manufacturing industry in Adamjee EPZ with an investment of US$ 12.2 million. Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Cherry Button Limited signed an agreement to this effect at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on 12 September 2023.

Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Mr. Ali Reza Mazid and Chairman of M/s. Cherry Button Limited Ms. MA Miaoyan (Jasika) signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, ndc, psc observed the agreement signing ceremony.

This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 1650 million pieces of Metal Button, Plastic Button, Metal Zipper, Vislon Zipper, Nylon Coil Zipper and other accessories like Eyelet, Rivet, Stopper, Badge, Buckle, Suspender Buckle, etc. The company will create job opportunity for 1068 Bangladeshi nationals.

Among others, Member (Finance) Nafisa Banu, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.

RMG Unit for Manufacturing woven & knit garments products like Shirt, T-Shirt, Jacket, Pant, Shorts, etc.

Mongla EPZ

M/s QSL.S Garments is setting up a US$ 19.5 million RMG unit in Mongla EPZ

Chinese factory M/s QSL.S Garments Co., Ltd. is going to set up a RMG industry in Mongla EPZ (MEPZ) with an investment of US$ 19.5 million. In presence of the Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, ndc, psc, Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s QSL.S Garments Co., Ltd. signed an agreement to this effect at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on 10 September 2023.

Mrs. Nafisa Banu, Member (Finance) of BEPZA and Mr. Wanle Xuan, Managing Director of QSL.S Garments Co., Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 6 million pcs of woven & knit garments products like Shirt, T-Shirt, Jacket, Pant, Shorts, etc. They will create employment opportunities for 2598 Bangladeshi nationals.

Among others, Executive Director (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain and Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md. Khorshid Alam witnessed the signing ceremony.
