Reprise: Project by students of the IFM-Kering Fashion Sustainability Certificate

Kyle Emunson, Hugo Castejon-Blanchard and Anouk Frumento created an association called Reprise around a center for refugees based just outside Paris.

They started with the realization that many of the refugees living in the center had sewing skills and also the desire to put them to use. Additionally, residents of the surrounding area also regularly donate their unwanted garments to the center, sometimes damaged or ill-fitting on the refugees. Instead of simply disposing of these garments they upcycle them into creative collections. But they are not making garments just for making garments – they create positive effervescence; they develop a creative and sustainable fashion that is inspired by the refugees they work with.
