One of the largest textile exporters in the world, Taiwan, known for its innovative and functional fabrics, exhibited a wide range of innovative, trendy and high performance textile products at the SourceZone unlocking great opportunities in today’s exciting apparel business environment offering new business avenues for the textile and garment industry.

The textile and garment industry in the Delhi region accounts for more than a quarter of the value of the country’s total garment exports with an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 units. In the overall picture, the Delhi industry is mostly focussed on women’s wear. However, with the domestic apparel market growing at 10% per annum, semi-urban and rural Indian markets growing faster than expected and urban consumers increasingly seeking branded and lifestyle products, the market is set to grow like never before.

This kind of growth needs the momentum supplied by cutting edge products and that is exactly what the Taiwanese manufacturers want to bring to India.
Giving insights about the fair, Ms. Jennifer Liu, Project Manager, Taiwan Textile Federation says, “The Fair will act as a business matchmaking meeting and give opportunities to the Taiwan textile industry to expose their business concepts and services to the Indian marketers, business buyers, partners, distribution channels & key decision makers. Every year we come down to meet big format retailers, leading domestic brands and exporters. This year, we decided to make new ties and long association with some of the best in Indian textile industry.”

The creativity and functionality of Taiwanese textile products have long been recognized by international designers, brands, importers and retailers in all major importing countries. These products are in perfect synergy with the Indian exporters’ increasing requirements for world-class fabrics, yarns and trimmings. Powering India’s garment manufacturing and exports through a wide variety of innovative offerings, these leading companies from Taiwan exhibited their cutting edge and contemporary products in order to establish long-term business associations & tie-ups in the textile field.

The Taiwan Textile Fair will also take place in Bengaluru and Mumbai.
